Delta Privacy Notice

This notice describes information collected while using Delta County Recent Arrests, why it is used, and when it may be shared. By continuing to use the site, visitors accept these practices.

Information You Submit

Search entries

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the independent provider operating that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider’s privacy rules apply to its processing.

Messages

Email or contact-form submissions are retained as needed to answer the sender. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

Automatic Technical Information

Normal server, analytics, or advertising systems may collect:

  • IP address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent;
  • the referring website, when supplied; and
  • request timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies help measure site use and support site features. Browser controls can block or remove them, although parts of the site may then work differently.

How Information Is Used

  • Operate the site and maintain performance.
  • Send search requests to the selected partner.
  • Understand which pages visitors use.
  • Diagnose errors and technical problems.
  • Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.

External Websites

Links lead to Delta County Sheriff and Correctional Facility pages, Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS, court portals, BOP and ICE locators, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy policy controls.

Advertising companies may measure activity across websites for interest-based ads. That activity occurs through their systems and is governed by their policies.

Recipients of Information

We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by search partners processing a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, and law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order. Michigan public-record requests made directly to an agency are governed by that agency’s practices and Michigan FOIA, including MCL 15.243 exemptions, not by this notice.

Security Measures

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect information. No website, network, storage service, or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use Contact Us to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, request a correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Requests can be sent through Contact Us. These rights concern data held by this site, not records maintained by Delta County, courts, police agencies, MDOC, or federal authorities.
